My name is Gabby Brown- I am an apparel technical designer by trade, and stay at home mom by life. I spend my time as a work in progress, working on progressing, and honestly, just working. On all kinds of random stuff! And I'd like to share it all with you, Dear Internet...
I have spent the better part of 18 years studying fashion design, working with patternmakers and factories all over the world for major apparel wholesalers and retailers. I've learned how to fit ready-to-wear garments for teenagers, young adults, and women of all ages in the most proportional and universal of ways. (Not to mention kids and men!) I've studied special sizing, and brainstormed through fit solutions for plus sizes, petites, big and tall, and sometimes for people who simply want pockets that are big enough to hold an iPhone. I can't call myself an expert by any means, (who can?!) but certainly, at least, a Very-Interested-Party who definitely asks way too many questions.
So, as a V-I-P, I'll be posting projects, updates, opinions and stories here. And probably stuff about being a working mom, too.
